Autumn is upon us and I am switching gears from a busy summer of wedding catering to what I love most about my job: gathering with foodies like you and cooking together! This is an especially exciting time of year as our harvest is in full force, with many of us picking our own vegetables and tucking our gardens in for the winter. The Thunder Bay Country Market is also in full swing, bustling with more than the usual share of produce.
To celebrate, I want to invite you to an evening of five delicious courses and lively discussion on our local food scene and the creative ways we can enjoy our harvest! We’ll start our evening with a quick tour of the garden as we pick some root veggies, sunchokes, and kale (feel free to arrive at 5:45 if you’d like to be a part of this!). Then we’ll get right into it with a satisfying Indian appetizer of samosas made with our squashes with a fall apple chutney. We’ll follow this with a unique salad of slivered root veggies and Tarrymore Farms bacon, then a comforting wild rice and kale soup. Our main course of Greek stuffed chicken will feature Swiss chard and Walkabout Farm sheep’s feta, along with buttered whipped rutabaga, my favourite way to enjoy this underrated vegetable. Finally, we’ll enjoy some delicious sweet pumpkin in the form of a cheesecake roll!

Cost is $80 per guest (including HST but not including gratuity). Register through Paypal link below or e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to make a note of the particular class this is for in the memo!
Your seat is confirmed once payment has been received. If you are unable to attend the class, please let me know at least one week in advance. A refund of 100% will be provided if notice is given at least one week in advance or if you are able to find someone else to take your spot. Less than 1 week notice will result in a 50% refund. Please contact me with extenuating circumstances.
While wine is not served or provided by A Fine Fit Catering, guests are welcome to bring their own. A safe ride home plan needs to be in place before any more than one alcoholic drink can be consumed. Please inform me of the plan for ensuring safe transportation following the class. If a designated driver is required, we can arrange for Granite Town Cars or other transportation to ensure safety. An additional charge would incur for this service.
