Fall Harvest Cooking Class – November – second serving (SOLD OUT)

Welcome back to my studio kitchen for another cooking class of the Fall Harvest series, to take place on Friday, November 8th! As we near the festive season with all of its bustle, let’s take a moment to relax and enjoy some harvest vegetables and be inspired with a few different takes on holiday classics.

This class will feature more root vegetables and celebrate local products like Veg-e-tate microgreens, Tuttilla Farm smoked bacon, Thunder Oak Gouda, and Slate River dairy.

Our evening will begin with one of my favourite salads that use root vegetables in their raw glory, and then move on to a comforting and delicious blended soup of fall carrots and parsips. For our main we will celebrate the apple (our trees were full this year!) in a great roast pork tenderloin recipe, with classic risotto made even better with butternut squash.  For dessert, I am bringing back the simple and elegant crème brûlée with a touch of maple.

Menu:

    • Slivered root vegetable salad over microgreens, with white balsamic, bacon and Gouda
    • Savoury carrot and parsnip soup with crispy sage
    • Savoury apple stuffed pork tenderloin, butternut squash risotto
    • Maple crème brûlée

 

Class is ~3.5 hrs in length and includes full recipes so that you can recreate this at home.  Bring a favourite person, your favourite beverage and your appetite for this delicious celebration of autumn. Space is limited so sign up soon!

Registration

Cost is $85 per person, plus HST to total $96.00. You will receive an email to confirm your seat upon payment, and an additional reminder email the week of the class with specific details.  If you do not receive any emails, please connect with me to ensure that you are registered!  While I do not pre-charge for gratuity, it is welcome at the class itself.

Refund Policy

Your seat is confirmed once payment has been received. If you are unable to attend the class, please let me know at least one week in advance. A refund of 100% will be provided if notice is given at least one week in advance or if you are able to find someone else to take your spot. Less than 1 week notice will result in a 50% refund. Please contact me with extenuating circumstances.

Alcohol

While wine is not served or provided by A Fine Fit Catering, guests are welcome to bring their own. A safe ride home plan needs to be in place before any alcohol can be consumed. Please inform me of the plan for ensuring safe transportation following the class. If a designated driver is required, please arrange for transportation to ensure safety.

***PLEASE NOTE: Due to insurance requirements, as of November 2023, a signed waiver is required for all guests. Physical copies of this waiver will be made available at the outset of the class as well.***
