Chocolate tahini cake with rosemary infused buttercream and candied cranberries

Festive cooking class – 1st serving

The holiday season is closing in quickly, and with an often very busy December for all of us, I have chosen to run my festive class this year on Friday, November 22nd and Saturday, November 23rd!  I want to invite you to an evening of 4 delicious courses and lively discussion of our local food scene and creative ways that we can utilize the winter harvest.  This class is a celebration of the wonderful flavours of winter vegetables and fruit such as the rutabaga, rosemary, apple and cranberry, that are both in season and connect us with their flavours and aromas to the season. I hope to inspire and stretch the imagination beyond your comfort zone as you consider the dishes you would like to bring to the table as December rolls in.

Our menu will feature garden root vegetables, garlic and herbs from my own garden.  From the local Market, we will be enjoying Veg-e-tate Market microgreens, Thunder Oaks Gouda, Prime sorbetto, Big Lake Pasta, Brule Creek stone-ground flour, Belluz Farm purple potatoes, and Tarrymore farm eggs, among others.

Menu:

  • Quinoa and pomegranate tabouli
  • Creamy rutabaga soup with thyme and Gouda crouton
  • Festive stuffed pork tenderloin with apple cranberry compote
  • Big Lake Pasta in a sage butter sauce, maple roasted sweet potato
  • Dark chocolate tahini cake with rosemary buttercream and sugared cranberries

Registration

Cost is $72 per person, plus HST and 15% gratuity, to total $92.00. You will receive an email to confirm your seat, and an additional reminder email the week of the class with specific details.  If you do not receive any emails, please check in to ensure that you are registered!

Register through e-transfer to info@afinefitcatering.ca and be sure to make a note of the particular class this is for in the memo! 

Refund Policy

Your seat is confirmed once payment has been received. If you are unable to attend the class, please let me know at least one week in advance. A refund of 100% will be provided if notice is given at least one week in advance or if you are able to find someone else to take your spot. Less than 1 week notice will result in a 50% refund. Please contact me with extenuating circumstances.

Alcohol

While wine is not served or provided by A Fine Fit Catering, guests are welcome to bring their own. A safe ride home plan needs to be in place before any more than one alcoholic drink can be consumed. Please inform me of the plan for ensuring safe transportation following the class.
