Eat with the Seasons – June – Second Serving

As life begins to emerge from the soil, I want to welcome you to my first “Eat with the Seasons” in-studio cooking class of the summer!  This class will celebrate some of our best local producers and our earliest garden produce as I cook delicious courses for you based on what is in season right now.

We’ll start our evening with a quick tour of the garden as we pick some perennials of fresh rhubarb, chives and herbs.  Then we’ll get right into it with sushi rolls with fresh-caught trout from Eat the Fish, Veg-e-tate Market Garden shoots and Narrow Gate kimchi.  As our second course, a warm roasted potato salad with Belluz Farms fingerling potatoes and arugula, Tarrymore eggs and Sandy Acres bacon.  Our main course of Big Lake Pasta’s manicotti will use Sandy Acres Chorizo and Debruins tomatoes and fresh herbs.  And finally, to finish off our local feast, we will prepare individual pies with fresh-picked rhubarb and Brule Creek flour, topped with Prime sorbetto.

  • ~ Sushi roll medley with Eat the Fish trout and Veg-e-tate shoots
  • ~ Warm roasted potato salad with arugula and crisp bacon
  • ~ Italian stuffed manicotti with Chorizo, fresh ricotta, and basil, in marinara
  • ~ Individual rhubarb galettes with Prime sorbetto

 

Registration

Cost is $80 per guest (including HST). Register through Paypal link below or e-transfer to info@afinefitcatering.ca and be sure to make a note of the particular class this is for in the memo!





Refund Policy

Your seat is confirmed once payment has been received. If you are unable to attend the class, please let me know at least one week in advance. A refund of 100% will be provided if notice is given at least one week in advance or if you are able to find someone else to take your spot. Less than 1 week notice will result in a 50% refund. Please contact me with extenuating circumstances.

Alcohol

While wine is not served or provided by A Fine Fit Catering, guests are welcome to bring their own. A safe ride home plan needs to be in place before any more than one alcoholic drink can be consumed. Please inform me of the plan for ensuring safe transportation following the class. If a designated driver is required, we can arrange for Granite Town Cars or other transportation to ensure safety. An additional charge would incur for this service.
