May is the month for honouring our mothers. My mom means the world to me; she made me who I am and is one of my best friends who I get to work with in my catering. I am excited to work with her as we put May’s cooking class together. For this class, we will be serving up some unique courses that will not only be delicious but also a lot of fun for you and your mother!
We will be celebrating French food in our carrot and fennel soup as well as the peach almond tart, Lebanese goodness in the quinoa tabouli, and delicious Greek flavours with our stuffed chicken and pasta.
Local producers featured this month are: Thunder Oaks Cheese Farm, Walkabout Farm, Sleepy G Farm, Prime Gelato, Veg-e-tate Market Garden, Big Lake Pasta, DeBruin’s Greenhouses, Slate River Dairy, Belluz (superiorseasons.localfoodmarketplace.com)
- Creamy carrot & fennel soup with radish microgreens
- Quinoa tabouli
- Prime sorbetto
- Greek stuffed chicken, Big Lake pasta in a vodka cream sauce, golden beets
- French almond tart with peaches and cream
Your seat is confirmed once payment has been received. If you are unable to attend the class, please let me know at least one week in advance. A refund of 100% will be provided if notice is given at least one week in advance or if you are able to find someone else to take your spot. Less than 1 week notice will result in a 50% refund. Please contact me with extenuating circumstances.
While wine is not served or provided by A Fine Fit Catering, guests are welcome to bring their own. A safe ride home plan needs to be in place before any more than one alcoholic drink can be consumed. Please inform me of the plan for ensuring safe transportation following the class. If a designated driver is required, we can arrange for Granite Town Cars or other transportation to ensure safety. An additional charge would incur for this service.
